Fire of London

I currently play starting O-line handler for Fire of London, a top-ranked UK club — a position I earned while abroad for my first year at Northeastern, as the youngest player on the roster by roughly five years.

Handler is the position where the offense is organized. You touch the disc most, you’re responsible for the reset when a play breaks down, and you’re making the read that decides whether the point continues or ends. Playing it on a top club side, several years younger than everyone else on the field, mostly meant that the decision-making had to be good because the physical advantages weren’t going to be.

Lakeside

Coaching middle schoolers is the fastest way to find out how well you actually understand something. You can play a good handler cut on instinct; explaining it to a twelve-year-old requires knowing why it works.
